"Why is it that if a woman has sex with a man and she's very drunk and high, he becomes a rapist on the grounds that she drank too much and took too many drugs to consent, but if he's just as high or drunk, or more so, why isn't she guilty of rape, since he can't consent either?"
-----Glenn Greenwald
Here we go again.
The accuser of the "Cornell 7" voluntarily had ten drinks in three hours before going to the frat house to hook up with a friend, while there freely imbibing more alcohol, smoking pot, and snorting ketamine off an erect penis, also allowing four men to snort ketamine off her naked body.
One of the frat boys sent out a snap-chat over the internet telling others free "pussy" was on offer, which led to the woman having sex with the second threesome. One of the seven accused is claiming that HE was sexually assaulted, having been too drunk to give consent.
In her 2024 statement to police the accuser said that the sex was "voluntary, conscious, and consensual." On two occasions she asked the men to stop, and they stopped. In subsequent days she sent text messages saying she had enjoyed the sex and wanted to repeat the first threesome at the fraternity's then upcoming Halloween party.
Sunny Hustin, current co-host of The View and a former federal sex crimes prosecutor who counts herself among the "believe women" advocates in rape cases, says no prosecutor could have in good conscience pressed charges in the Cornell 7 case. Her statement merits quoting in full:
"I will say that under current New York state law, voluntary intoxication or drug use, and she (the accuser) voluntarily drank a lot, she voluntarily took, snorted ketamine off of one of the boy's body parts . . . she was highly intoxicated, but made plans to meet one of the boys - young men - she allowed other boys and consented to other boys snorting ketamine off of her body, and under New York law voluntary intoxication or drug use that merely impairs judgment does not legally constitute an inability to consent to sexual activity. So that means that if you voluntarily ingest drugs, you voluntarily take alcohol, you can agree to have threesomes, which, in her statement she agreed to have two separate threesomes. One boy did walk in, one young man did walk in and say, "Everybody out." So there was one person that did that, and according to her statement three of the young men did not touch her. And so I say all that, but I say all that, to say the pictures of these young men, who have not been charged, not been adjudicated, are being plastered all over the Internet. I think people are reporting this story inaccurately, I think they're reporting it unfairly. And while this is something that we have to take very seriously, there is no way, according to her statement in 2024, that any prosecutor would have brought forth a case. . . .. According to her statement, she says, they (the Cornell 7) did not attack her - she consented to the sexual activity - she consented to it according to her own statement in 2024. . . .Now I prosecuted sex crimes for ten years. I believe women. I am not saying that we shouldn't believe her, but in 2024 she said one thing, and now in 2026 she is saying another thing."
Those are the facts of the case. The accuser had plans to meet one of the seven accused, voluntarily got high both before and after arriving at the fraternity, never lost consciousness, and agreed to two threesomes, even admitting that three of the seven men never touched her. Under New York law, her decision to voluntarily intoxicate herself does not allow her to avoid responsibility for her subsequent decision to have sex.
A recent New York Times podcast featuring what Malcolm X would have called House Negro commentators (Michelle Cottle, Jamelle Bouie, and David French) passed completely over all this evidence in preference for the thesis that "grab 'em by the pussy" Trump is the main culprit, which theme they went on about at length, with one of them expressing regret that they hadn't even had time to assign proper blame to Jeffrey Epstein.
A familiar Internet mob has formed seeking vengeance, not justice, and predictably, the presumption of innocence and due process of law are nowhere to be found.
This gives the lie to the claim that the death of "our democracy" is the single-handed achievement of Donald Trump.
